Jeffrey’s career in family law is grounded in a strong academic foundation and a longstanding commitment to the practice. While attending California Western School of Law, he served as both a staff writer and staff editor for the Law Review and earned five American Jurisprudence Awards, including one in Family Law. He also attended the Institute on International and Comparative Law at Oxford University through a summer program with the University of San Diego School of Law.

Throughout his career, Jeffrey has focused his practice on family law, gaining experience at several well-respected family law firms before joining Cage & Miles. He has handled a wide range of family law matters involving diverse financial circumstances, from complex cases involving multi-million-dollar estates to matters involving few assets but substantial debt, and everything in between. This breadth of experience has helped him develop a detailed and analytical approach to family law matters, with a focus on thoroughly understanding the issues and identifying practical paths toward resolution.

Jeffrey is settlement-focused and works to help clients resolve their family law matters efficiently and effectively whenever possible. When litigation is necessary, his attention to detail and analytical approach allow him to develop thorough written pleadings that clearly present his clients’ legal positions to the court.

• Prepared pleadings in a move away case that resulted in the moving party being allowed to move with the children to another state.
• Prepared pleadings in a move away case that resulted in the non-moving party being granted primary custody of the children in California once the moving party moved out of state.
• Prepared pleadings that resulted in the opposing party dropping their request for spousal support.
• Worked with a client over a period of time to increase the client's timeshare with their children from under 20% to around 35% to equal parenting time.

Outside of practicing law, Jeffrey enjoys running distances ranging from 5Ks to ultramarathons. He also enjoys hiking and traveling with his family.
