Experience & Education

Kevin's journey in academia and law began at the University of South Carolina, where he earned a B.A. in Experimental Psychology with a Minor in Political Science, graduating cum laude in May 2010. Throughout his time there, Kevin excelled, making it to the Dean's List every semester and receiving a Merit Scholarship. He also served as a Resident Advisor during the 2007-2008 academic year. His thirst for knowledge led him to the University of San Diego, School of Law, where he obtained his J.D. in May 2013. During his law school years, Kevin's dedication was evident through various honors, including the CALI Award in Civil Procedure in 2010 and the Equal Justice Corps – Summer Corps Scholarship in 2012.

In addition to his academic pursuits, Kevin delved into practical experiences, interning at the Family Law Facilitator’s Office, with Professor Roy L. Brooks as a research assistant, the San Diego County Public Defender’s Office for three semesters, and the civil law firm Huston McCaffrey. These experiences enriched his understanding of the legal field and prepared him for a successful career ahead.

Areas of Specialization

Since 2021, Kevin has exclusively practiced family law, focusing on various aspects ranging from full dissolution matters to unique custody, support, and property division issues. Kevin keen attention to detail makes him particularly skillful at handling complex financial matters. Before venturing into family law, Kevin dedicated over seven years to Lemon Law, where he represented consumers in pursuing automobile manufacturers for defective vehicles and warranty claims. During this time, he took and passed the Arizona Bar Exam, obtaining a license to practice law in Arizona (AZ Bar No.: 034578, status: inactive).

In the Community

Kevin's roots span from South Carolina to France, where he spent a significant part of his childhood, attending school and embracing diverse cultures. With an international family scattered across continents, Kevin has maintained strong ties to both South Carolina and Europe, frequently vacationing throughout the continent. Settling in San Diego for law school in 2010, Kevin found his niche in the vibrant community and fell in love with the city's endless sunshine, beautiful beaches, and pools, thriving fitness scene, delectable food offerings, as well as opportunities for skiing and travel, solidifying his decision to make San Diego his permanent home.
