I worked with Jaime Cage for three years on my high-conflict divorce. I can't say enough good things about Jaime's sharp legal expertise and her calm demeanor throughout this ordeal! She was persistent and dogged in moving my case along. It wasn't easy...she dealt with every abuse of the legal system imaginable generated by the "other side" in what should have been a very straight-forward case. This included multiple changes in opposing counsel, unwarranted changes in forensic accountants, streams of duplicative subpoenas, repetitive false claims, false allegations against professionals and other parties associated with the case, endless delay tactics, and ultimately an unnecessary trial which she tried to head off numerous times with various negotiations and settlement offers. She successfully got court sanctions in my favor time and time again which helped offset some of these needless delays we were subjected to over the years. One of Jaime's best attributes is being truly pro-active with my case. She consistently took initiative to come up with ideas and plans of action that I could take. I never had to chase her down - she was always following up with me on the issues or would contact opposing counsel to follow up on their progress. Jaime always came up with fair yet strategic actions to protect my interests. She listened to all my concerns and "what ifs," and kept me calm and focused with her thoughtful responses. She was a super-sharp advisor to me throughout. Jaime guided me with negotiations in the mandatory settlement conference; then when it was evident a trial was being forced on me, she was able to work out a partial settlement to shave off some of the myriad issues. A trial was the last thing I thought I would have to go through, but Jaime's trial prep was outstanding. She laid out all the issues and supporting documents for the judge so succinctly that it was over in half the time expected. I got sue by my ex, and Ryan help me with my case. Ryan is an honest lawyer, (can say that too honest), he know the law. But he pressure me too much to to give favor to other party. He suggest me to offer high to close the deal, but I refuse and offer much less and the other party accept. Ryan is not very good listener, he did not perform my request as I first, so we cannot win earlier and cost me about 20k more in fee. In the knowledge of law, Ryan should have 5 stars, but his conscientious and listening are even less than 3 stars (may be because I am Asian and my English is not very good). I may give Ryan 4 stars for his service, but the billing department of this firm is terrible, they charge me but not put it in the book. Be aware of the billing department of this firm.

I cannot say enough Positive Words about Ms. Jamie Learakos ESQ and Cage & Miles, LLP. After completing peaceful Divorce proceedings in 2015 with another firm, I never thought I would go back to court four years later regarding an emergency situation related to my Ex-Spouse and our Child. I initially contacted my Attorney who handled my case in 2015, and that Attorney felt I could represent myself in Court. After further dicussion with a Family member who is an Attorney regarding the current emergency situation, it became more apparent that I truly needed legal representation from a very sharp and competent Attorney. The moment I spoke with Jamie, and Jamie explained what needed to be completed immediately, which included filing temporary full custody order, I knew I was in great hands. Keep in mind, my initial Attorney from 2015 knew of my emergency situation and not one time recommended the emergency filing for full custody as Jamie recommended. If I had not moved swiftly as Jamie had initially recommended, my child would have been in more grave danger because of my Ex-Spouse's mental state, arrest, and flight risk. The Court Coach Jamie referred was one of the most invaluable meetings I ever had. The Coach helped prepare me for the Mediation and Court meetings. The Coach was very well versed with the San Diego County Court system. I went to both the Mediation and Court meetings with confidence because of Jamie's recommendations. The guidance and representation I received from having such a very knowledgable and sharp Attorney, made the difference with winning and loosing the new terms related to my Child Custody case. Ultimately, Jamie is a HUGE part of the reason why I can sleep better knowing my Child is safe under the new custody agreement, and knowing I can call on her if needed.
