Deanne Arthur is a graduate of Howard University School of Law in Washington, D.C. While at Howard University School of Law, Deanne received the CALI Award for exceptional representation of indigent adults charged with crimes in the District of Columbia Superior Court. She started her legal career in her hometown of San Diego. Initially, she found her niche as a criminal defense attorney, handling numerous domestic violence restraining orders. However, this experience led her to discover her true passion for family law.
Deanne opened the Law Office of Deanne Arthur in 2016, devoted exclusively to Family Law. Since then, she has dedicated her legal practice to representing clients facing life-changing family disputes. Her background in criminal defense provided her with extensive courtroom experience and a strong foundation in litigation, which she now applies to complex family law matters. Her early experience advocating for clients in high-pressure legal proceedings shaped her ability to prepare thoroughly, assess cases strategically, and remain focused when matters become contentious. While she is prepared to advocate for her clients in court when necessary, Deanne also recognizes the value of resolving matters efficiently and works to pursue practical solutions whenever possible.
Deanne's approach to representing clients is to always try to find a resolve for litigants when possible. She tells clients that she will try to mediate and if that doesn't work, she is happy to go to the mat and fight for them. Representative matters include:

- Represented client in obtaining full custody and substance abuse counseling and assessment for other parent
- Represented client in getting a move away out of state in high conflict matter

Deanne is a former college softball player who enjoys coaching girls' youth fastpitch softball. Deanne is also a former high school rodeo competitor, competing in barrel racing and pole bending and representing her district as Rodeo Queen. Deanne is now a mother to a son and spends her free time in a youth basketball gym or football field.
